If she asked YOU to do something, why are you passing it on to US to do for you?
Why don’t you just look at the two alphabets side by side, and find them yourself?

Question by M: Where can I take college courses online and still get credit for them at a California University?
I am looking to take a couple of college courses online, like Spanish and Statistics. I want to complete them at my own pace and have the entire class be online. Are there any online schools that offer this that are accredited? I need these courses to be transferable to the California University system; it does no good for me if they aren’t. The online schools I have come across so far seem to offer degree programs, but they don’t seem like they offer individual courses. Furthermore, I can’t verify whether or not the courses will transfer? Any ideas?
Also, I want the courses to be able to start when I am ready and not just start and end during the traditional semester schedule.

Question by chhl: What were the Spanish equivalent of the French musketeer?
I want to know about the Spanish equivalent of the French musteteers like in Dumas’ The Three Musketeers.
Best answer:
Answer by ammianus
There was no direct equivalent to French musketeers in the Spanish army of the 17th century.
The closest would be Caballos Corazas, which were similarly equipped and a portion of which comprised the elite cavalry of the Spanish army at the time.

Question by Mr. Bean: What language does Carla speak in the Spanish dubbed version of Scrubs?
There is this episode where Turk learns Spanish to surprise Carla, but he decides to keep it secret so he can spy her out. In the Spanish dubbed version of Scrubs it wouldn’t make sense for her to only speak Spanish. So what language does Turk learn? Also, where do they say Carla is from?
Best answer:
Answer by Rebound By Vrankovic
Its still Spanish. Since her character is Latina, it would not make sense to have her speak another language. Most likely, depending on the region, they probably used a different dialect.
And yes, they said that Carla was from the Dominican Republic.

Question by Stars: How easy is it for Lithuanians to learn Latvian?
and vice versa
Would it be similar to a native Spanish speaker learning Portuguese?
Or a native French speaker learning Italian.
well if wrote ‘how hard is it’, it wouldn’t really change the question and if it did, then would be getting away from what i trying to find out. Im looking for the degree of ease/difficulty for them in learning it. By possibly comparing it to others.
You can’t compare English speakers learning Dutch or German to some speakers of say for example romance languages learning related languages. English has moved on a long way from German.
Best answer:
Answer by Inselstricken
pretty well – both are Baltic languages, but Lithuanian is reckoned to be the most archaic living Indo-European language, whereas Latvian has been more open to the influence of neighbouring languages, such as Slavic [Russian], and Germanic [German].
I’m not sure “easy” is the right word – language learning always depends on the individual’s motivation. Look at how hard some native English speakers seem to find it, to learn closely related languages like Dutch or German!

Question by Ruthann G: If I write a letter to my Mexican friends in Mexico and use regular Spanish will they understand it?
Or do I need to find Mexican Spanish translation on the web?
Best answer:
Answer by thecanadiantraveler
While there are some differences in Mexican Spanish and Spanish spoken in Spain (Castillian and Mexican/Latin) the two languages are close enough that there shouldn’t be too much meaning lost in translation.
Many of the differences between the two languages are in how the words are pronounced as well, so in the written word, they will not be distinguishable. I think you’d be ok to write using the Spanish that you know.

I am certified in secondary mathematics. There is a last minute opening for a Spanish teacher where I am substituting. The principal pulled me in and asked me if I was interested in getting Spanish certified. I am, and I was wondering how I would go about doing this? If the mexicans going to come to this country (or any other country) then they need to learn to speak our language! Not us thiers! Question by NC: How much Spanish influence is there in the Philippines today?
I was just wondering, is there a lot of Spanish culture and traditions still present in the Philippines or has the importance of the Spanish culture pretty much gone away since the Spanish left? If so, what are some examples? Is the current culture more European or Asian?
Best answer:
Answer by L☺s
The modern culture of Filipinos is a hybrid culture. It is a mix of Native Austronesian, Eastern and Western culture…but the most evident influence is the Spanish…
Religion, food, beliefs, dances, architecture, tradition are heavily Spanish influenced…
The Spanish language lost it’s official status in P.I. sometime around the 1900s when the Americans took over P.I. but the Filipinos still retained a lot of the traditions introduced by the Spanish….
for example: the Filipinos have their own version of pinata but they use a clay pot instead of a pinata horse…
The Spanish language (Castillan) is being reinstated in P.I…

Question by edka: Average cost of english-spanish translation?
I have done translations before, but I’m finally going to get paid for it. I have no clue of how much I should charge for it though since I consider that my previous translations have had a good professional level to them. However, I am not yet an experienced translator. Does anyone know the average cost of english-spanish translations? I’m also thinking that I will charge per word since the document has a lot of pictures, is that a good idea?

Question by mthompson828: How can I start a conversation in Spanish with a stranger? Is it appropriate to do so?
I’d really like to practice my spoken spanish, and I know that the people that I already speak it with “dumb down” their spanish for me. Would it be considered strange or rude to speak to a stranger in Spanish (assuming I’ve already determined that they speak Spanish!) What if they’ve already addressed me in English? The only place I feel comfortable responding in spanish right now is the Mexican restaurant, and I’m starting to get sick of enchiladas! I know there’s much more to the Spanish-speaking world than cheap taquerias!!! How can i be more confident to approach people in Spanish? I don’t want to be viewed as rude or patronizing…
Sigh….I should know by now that wanting to be fluent in a second language instantly flags me as some sort of renegade, or illegal, or something…I’m not asking if they should be forced to speak English, I’m asking if I can speak Spanish with them. It’s much cheaper to find people in my area to converse with than it is to fly to, say, South America. And for those people who were confused, I already KNOW English – in fact they pay me money to teach it to other people. I’m relatively fluent in Spanish, I just feel like I could use more practice and don’t want to lose what I already know.

Question by : How long will it take to learn Spanish, French, and German?
I won’t be learning them all at once; I’m planning to take Spanish 3-4-5 in freshman year, then Spanish 6-7-8 in my sophomore year. Then I will learn French online (slowly) during the last two years of high school, and I plan to master it after high school. Afterwards, I want to master German also. How long will it take to master French and German after high school if I learn them separately? Or if I learn them together?
Thanks in advance!

I would suggest downloading songs like shakira or mana.. Popular songs and try to learn the lyrics, or watch telenovelas.. Whatever can get drawn in.. Ur 16 so u can even take community college courses online.. If u get financial aid that’s a good way to start.. I learned more Spanish in college.. I’m not fluent but I understood a lot more by doing that.. It took about two years to get the gist of it.. Dedicate urself.. Spanish is a beautiful language n youll find it has the basic roots when u want to learn Portuguese, French and especially italian

Question by : What type of spanish do American schools teach?
At my camp this summer, these two sisters from Mexico where having a fight in spanish. I asked another spanish speaking girl what they were saying, but she said she didn’t understand much either because she was from Spain, not Mexico, and the vocabulary and language is different. I’ve never thought about that, and my school teaches spanish like evry other school. So what type of spanish do American schools teach? Am I learning Mexican spanish or Spanish spanish? Please answer, thanks!
Best answer:
Answer by CowaBunga!
they mostly teach mexican spanish in usa schools because of the high latin population
and in europe they teach the SPANISH spanish
although i think it could vary
like for example in florida since the cuban population is so high its possible they teach cuban spanish
either way its all the same for the most part
just some words may change meaning
sometime they invent their own words to
the accents are also different
